A couple weeks ago, I had the pleasure of photographing a friend's newborn son. It was definitely a challenge taking pictures of a baby but it was a great experience and I cannot wait to take pictures of "C" once he gets here in the spring! :)

I am so excited about this week at I heart Faces. I know this is supposed to be a picture of me, but I have NO pictures of me as a child in my possession. So this is my husband, Brian, when he was a child in the dryer of all places. Isn't he precious?

And here he is NOW! Yes he got in the dryer for me to take a picture of him! :)

I love this photo and I think I am going to cherish it forever. I think he loves me a whole bunch to recreate this photo 20+ years later.

So yesterday at a friend's wedding this lady would not get out of our picture. I mean seriously we asked her to move and she well just didn't listen so every picture had a "red blob" in it.

Well I know it isn't even close to be perfect or anything but thanks to my Macbook the "red blob" isn't so obvious anymore! :)

July 2009 - My camera was about a week old when I took this picture and I think Mr. B wanted to kill me for taking so many pictures . . .

September 2009 - Daisy wanted to share the love!

I finally have my photo session pricing complete for regular photo sessions. Wedding Photography pricing is a little more complicated, so that might be a couple months coming. Publishing House

I found a publishing house and couldn't be more excited! This just means we are one step closer to getting everything in order. I talked to a couple instructors where I am taking classes and then I did a little research on my own. I have to send the publishing house 5 files that they will print 8x10's for me to make sure I like the quality of their work and then we are good to go.

It is so exciting when things start to fall in place!

A Dream Has Begun

I have had an interest in photography for a couple years now. I think we can appreciate the beauty in anything. While this business is going to be slow going at first, my hopes and dreams are to slowing learn my way into children and family photography.

The picture below is the inspiration for our name, it is an old run down barn in Maggie Valley, NC. I took this picture 2 years ago and it has always been one of favorites.
